How We Can Help

Surrendering and Assistance

Tails of The Misunderstood Canine Rescue Society stands behind our commitment to help, regardless of the situation. We understand that sometimes, despite everyone’s best efforts, a dog cannot be kept in the home. If you are facing the difficult decision to rehome your dog, Tails of The Misunderstood is committed to supporting you and your dog in this journey.

Most importantly, we want you to know that your decision to surrender will never be met with judgement. We know that sometimes a decision to surrender is in the best interest of the animal. By making the decision to surrender your dog, you are making the responsible choice to ensure that your animal is well cared for both now and in the future.

Tails of The Misunderstand Canine Rescue Society can help with emergency fostering, food, and vetting. Our Assistance Program is launching April 1st 2016 and we are so excited.

Since our Founding date May 1st 2015 we helped 67 dogs stay with their families and 23 cats (even though our focus is dogs), by providing vetting, emergency food bank, training and emergency fostering.

We will also be offering low cost spaying, neutering, microchips, and general health check up's and shots to low income families or families having difficult financial times.
